Remember to bring these documents to your visa interview

Essential documents required for your F1 visa interview:

1. Mandatory documents:

a. Passport

b. A printout of the appointment confirmation letter.

c. DS 160 Confirmation barcode printout.

d. SEVIS fees payment receipt.

e. The original I20 that you receive from the university you applied for.

2. Academic documents; the visa officers may request these files; therefore, it is best to have them with you.

a. Original transcript (High school/Bachelor/Master).

b. Scholarship certificate if, provided by the university.

c. Copies of your research/projects.

d. Official TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores for English proficiency tests.

e. Official copy of your scholarship exam (SAT/ACT/GRE/GMAT).

f. SOP, Letter of recommendation.

3. An official financial document issued by your bank.

Documents required during your Biometric:

 i. DS 160 confirmation page.

 ii. Passport.

 iii. Passport size photo (Not asked much, but good to carry along).

 iv. Visa application fee receipt.
